About Megan

Megan earned her common law degree (JD) from the University of Ottawa in 2022.

Megan joined Gerami Law PC in the summer of 2020 as a fellow. She continued working at Gerami Law PC throughout her law degree as both a part-time and a summer student and is now completing her Articles.

Before attending the University of Ottawa to study law, Megan completed her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and French with a Community Engagement Option from Wilfrid Laurier University. After completing her undergraduate degree, she completed her Masters in French from the University of Waterloo.

During her first year of law school, Megan joined the Canadian Associate for Refugee Lawyers (CARL), an organization that focuses on seeking and promoting justice for refugees. She was also an assistant editor for the Ottawa Law Review journal at the University of Ottawa. Megan developed her passion for immigration as a member of CARL and continued to grow while working with Gerami Law PC.

Outside of work, Megan enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with family and friends. She also speaks fluently in English and French.
